So… WELCOME TO THE THIRD BOOK IN OUR UNFORTUNATE READATHON. COME ON IN!
In this book we go stay with Aunt Josephine. Now I feel this is along the same plot line as the Reptile Room – we meet an old family member, (she is trippin’ some serious balls through this entire book), who is eventually killed off by leeches and Count Olaf impersonates as her love interest in trying to get close with the children.
I know that after this book (and in the clues we find here) the plot starts thickening but this book feels like the same recipe as the last one, just as dark and unhappy and the same structure.
It doesn’t make it at all bad, I love his writing and Aunt Jo! Just after The Reptile Room it doesn’t add anything fresh..
Still read it, it’s still SO GOOD!
